Morning at the Museum

Perhaps not quite as exciting as a *night* at the museum…but we still found a little adventure at the American Museum of Natural History.  Daphne loved seeing the dinosaurs (as did I), Sophie enjoyed the butterfly exhibit.  Dave liked the full size Blue Whale reproduction  in the deep sea room.  My favorite part was that I planned ahead and checked out their website before arriving in NYC.  I found that the cost of a family membership was just a bit more than the cost of admission for all 5 of us, plus it’s tax deductible and benefits the museum in a variety of ways.  As a bonus, members get a discount on museum merch and free tickets to special exhibits (like the butterfly one), so that membership MORE than paid for itself.  Everyone wins!  Yay!  I also have to admit, it was kind of cool to have a blue-morpho butterfly declare my tush as a good place to hang out…

Oh, also, in the picture gallery below, be sure to take note of the image of the sign we read in the bioluminescence category about Anglerfish….it sure has new meaning now when I tell Dave to bite me.  heee heee heee!
