Workshop at Bracker’s Good Earth Clays

Expected Scheule: We do not have a set schedule for this workshop as we have had with workshops in the past.  We will open for participants at 9:30am, with the workshop beginning at 10:00am on both days.  The workshop will contain a combination of unusual construction techniques with soft slabs of clay. Additionally, using stiff slabs of clay, a box will be made with a workable drawer and inset niche.  Also possibly included will be a non-functional teapot on a stand, some discussion of ways to make intricate multi-level stamps, sprigging, bas-relief tiles, multi level tiles and making and modifying textures.  Samples of many glazes (with formulas) will be available to inspect. Be ready to laugh and learn almost too much information.  We will break for lunch each day, which will be provided by Bracker’s Good Earth Clays.

What to Bring:

This is a combination demonstration/hands-on workshop.  Bring your favorite handbuilding tools, materials to take notes with, a copy of Lana’s book for her to sign, and whatever else will make you more comfortable while you are here (such as your favorite coffee mug).  (if you don’t have Lana’s book, you can purchase it at the workshop.)
